Early 1970s California Vehicle Sabotage and Hitchhiker killings. Additional Zodiac information and San Francisco '73 slayer. Unsolved Murders.
Is it possible the Santa Rosa slasher is connected to numerous other vehicle related killings across California. From the late 60s to early 70s young women were killed in the California Bay Area, Valley, and Los Angeles areas. These murders all featured either a act of sabotage or an abduction after car trouble. This trend then stops. In 1972 Girls hitchhiking in California's Santa Rosa area were viciously murdered. In 1973 killings of teenage and college aged San Francisco girls took place in the span of 47 days. Could the Zodiac killings of the late 1960s and early 1970s have taught killers to not leave a pattern. Changing location and technique allowed for the killer to go uncaptured. Thoughts if these could be connected ? (Links Below) Theories on the Santa Rosa Slasher ? Theories on the San Francisco killings ? Theories on the Zodiac and did the Zodiac ever travel into Oregon or Nevada ? List of murders Below: The Santa Rosa Hitchhiker Killer Summary: A series of at least seven murders in the North Bay, California area, the Santa Rosa Hitchhiker Murders occurred between 1972 and 1973. The female victims of these murders were all found nude in rural areas near steep embankments, or in creek beds along a roadside. Originally, it was thought that there were only seven victims in the case, who ranged in ages from 12 to approximately 23 years old. However, the FBI released a report in 1975 claiming that there were a series of fourteen connected homicides, which included the original seven Santa Rosa Hitchhiker murders. The cause of death for victims was typically asphyxiation due to being strangled with a cord of some nature. Many possible murder suspects were proposed, ranging from The Zodiac Killer to Ted Bundy, but no one was ever prosecuted, and the case has gone cold in Sonoma County. Zodiac Killer Summary: https://www.biography.com/crime-figure/zodiac-killer Theories are vast. Highly unlikely but seems to fit a pattern of changing serial killer techniques. These change as others begin. None were captured. Did the Zodiac ever travel to Oregon ? The San Francisco Murders of ‘73 Summary:The body of Rosa Vasquez (20) was discovered close to the Arguello boulevard entrance of the Golden Gate Park on May 29th 1973. She had been strangled and thrown from the nearby road. Twelve days later, a pregnant Yvonne Quilantang (15), from Delta Street was found strangled in a Bayview district vacant lot on June 12th 1973. She had been out to buy groceries. Nancy Patricia Gidley (24) was last seen alive on Thursday July 12th 1973 leaving the Rodeway Inn at 895 Geary Street, San Francisco. Her body was found on Sunday 15th July 1973, nude and strangled in the grounds of George Washington High School in the Richmond area, although it was believed she was murdered elsewhere. Finally, Angela Thomas (16), a resident of Belton, Texas, had traveled to San Francisco for a brief stay. After a day out in Hayward she visited friends in the Presidio district- but neither of her friends were at home and she was last seen walking away at 9.00 pm on Sunday July 1st 1973. She was found naked and smothered the following day in the grounds of Benjamin Franklin Junior High School. Almost three years earlier Donna Ann Lass disappeared from the Sahara Tahoe Hotel on September 6th 1970 after finishing her shift as a nurse. A few months earlier in June she had moved to South Lake Tahoe, from San Francisco, where she had previously been employed as a nurse at the Letterman General Hospital in the Presidio, near the Paul Stine murder scene. Curiously Rosa Vasquez was also employed at the Letterman General Hospital as a keypunch operator. There is no evidence to suggest that any of these four victims were Zodiac crimes, although there is reason enough, to consider these four murders may have been committed by a single perpetrator, due to numerous similarities, within such a short time frame. Some researchers believe that Lawrence Kane and the Zodiac Killer may be one and the same, trailing Donna Lass from San Francisco to South Lake Tahoe, having lived at 217 Eddy Street, close to Mason and Geary Streets in San Francisco at the time of the Paul Stine murder. Latterly, working near Donna Lass at the Sahara Tahoe Hotel, according to former law enforcement officer Harvey Hines. Is it possible he returned in 1973?. Two possible murders- that of Donna Lass and Rosa Vasquez from the same hospital, inside of three years seems unusual, albeit probably coincidental. Whoever the Zodiac Killer is, may never be known- but did he continue his reign of terror beyond the murder of Paul Stine on October 11th 1969? In 1973 killings of teenage and college aged San Francisco girls took place in the span of 47 days. These change as others begin. None were captured. Did the Zodiac ever travel to Oregon ? The San Francisco Murders of ‘73 Summary: The body of Rosa Vasquez (20) was discovered close to the Arguello boulevard entrance of the Golden Gate Park on May 29th 1973. The San Francisco Murders of ‘73 Summary: The body of Rosa Vasquez (20) was discovered close to the Arguello boulevard entrance of the Golden Gate Park on May 29th 1973. She had been strangled and thrown from the nearby road. Twelve days later, a pregnant Yvonne Quilantang (15), from Delta Street was found strangled in a Bayview district vacant lot on June 12th 1973. She had been out to buy groceries. Nancy Patricia Gidley (24) was last seen alive on Thursday July 12th 1973 leaving the Rode-way Inn at 895 Geary Street, San Francisco.
Florida to San Jose California, 1964 Corvette, 1986 timeframe
Florida to San Jose in a 1964 Corvette. My buddy spent every penny he had buying it with nothing left over for a tune-up or fresh tires before we took off. (Mistake #1) He picked me up @ Hartsfield in Atlanta at 2 a.m, (long before cellphones....coordinating my late arrival was difficult) we ate at a Waffle House at 3 a.m. and off we went. It was to be all blue highways, back roads, 2-lanes, no interstates or national chain restaurants from that point forward. A copy of “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance” was to be our Bible. We saw innumerable "See Rock City" signs and drove through the apparent fireworks capital of the free world @ the Georgia/TN border. The damn Vette kept breaking down, first a clutch in Nashville, later a U-joint near Clarksville. Carb troubles in Nevada. I remember we saw “Weird Science” at the Clarksville theater, long before theaters were all 24-plexes. Afterwards at a bar we told a pair of local ladies we were “Location Agents” in town scouting sites for a film that was going to be shot there. Remember, this was pre-HIV... We were looking for a LAKE that the SUN came up over in the East.......\snicker, snicker** What surprised us most were the full size satellite TV dishes behind every farmhouse across America. From nothing to 250+ channels with nothing but a check and a bootleg converter. Rural America had gotten wired. Well, dished. News, or what passed for it, was now broadcast 24 hours a day. (Mistake #2?) Mosquitoes ate us alive at some state park in Arkansas where we’d foolishly chosen to camp rather than get a cheap motel room. We had a cassette walkman to pass the time before sleep came. The waitress at the one cafe in some lonely small town in Kansas assured us “Charlie,” the Frito Lay guy, came by EVERY DAY to refill the rack. We've joked about "Charlie" ever since. We trailed a shiny stainless Kraft tanker truck across the loneliest highway in America, drafting for better fuel mileage, until he locked up the brakes and turned down a deserted dirt road. Trust me. There were no cows, and no dairies down that road. Must have been Area 51, or something else, cause a “milk truck” had no business being there. Fortunately we just missed creaming his rear bumper. By this point we were getting around 7 mpg's belching black smoke , until a “19 year Chevy dealership mechanic” in a tiny town in the middle of east nowhere, Nevada, told us “No problem, one bowl on your Holley double pumper has sagged, I’ll file it flat and double gasket it and we were on our way again having barely finished lunch, back into, barely, double digit gas mileage. It was AS IF he had been placed there, just for us. We camped among the stars in a mountaintop State Park near Eloy, Nevada, decided THIS was the place to hang out after nuclear war. You could see cars approaching from 50 miles away. Big cave, glacier full of icemelt pure water, deer everywhere. Survival city. The gubbmit was inexplicably stringing wire and fiber-optic cables into the cave. Maybe they had the same idea. A tiny casino with two slot machines and some serious alcoholics was Eloy's entertainment offering. It seemed at every breakdown we ran into JUST the right person to fix the ‘64 for us, although the 10 pound metal glove box door continued slamming into my knees all the way to San Jose. @#$@!!!! Everywhere we went there was someone wanting to talk to us about the burnt orange, white-striped Vette. Either a parent had owned one, a neighbor or their friend had owned one, or a good friend / cousin had died crashing one. We heard, or shall I say endured, endless Vette stories. (As I do again today, it’s the price of admission). A fourth and final flat occurred near Lake Tahoe. I was ready to pull my hair out at Dave's frugality. Stopping at endless gas stations looking for ANY used tire that would fit. We were running for home at that point, late on our schedule. I think we did the final 200 miles without a spare. A fly fishing trip on the South Fork of the North something river outside Denver had been the hi-light of the trip, along with an impromptu color TV repair at the cabin. My buddy pulled a trout out on his first cast, having never fished before. "To catch a fish one must THINK like a fish" he had pontificated,..... and then proceeded to JUST DO IT. Rest of us were amazed. I got skunked by a noob! A cold solder joint in an old TV was repaired with a nail, held in Vice-Grips, heated red hot over a stove burner. Instantly the football field was green once again. My companion impressed the shit out of me with that piece of wizardry. Forty years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday. We ultimately had to do about 17 miles on an Interstate somewhere in Utah. No way around. There are no road trips to be had, no stories to be gained, blasting 80mph on a superslab and eating in chain restaurants. Never have been, never will be. 2-lanes, diners, cafe's, that's where you see and talk to America. We learned to take the road less traveled and to take ALL the time needed with everyone who had a story to tell us. We didn't take nearly enough (film) pictures. Mistake #3.

Relocated Production Facility: North Mesa, AZ Annual Capacity *Phase One - 150,000 grams of MPX-branded products (Currently in Operation) *Phase Two - 400,000+ grams (Scheduled for completion in calendar Q3 2018) *Phase Three - 800,000+ grams (Schedule for completion in calendar Q4 2018) New production facility will increase production capacity 2-4x: 11:31 , 25:11
“This acquisition represents a solid addition to our industry and presence in Arizona, a State that offers MPX one of the best-regulated, yet industry-supportive markets in the country,” said W. Scott Boyes, MPX’s Chairman, President and CEO. “The entities being acquired have recorded trailing 12-month revenues of US$15 million and EBITDA of approximately US$3.5 million and its results will be immediately accretive to MPX earnings. Furthermore, the acquired companies are well-managed and will allow both parties to share best practises and benefit from the ability to share purchase economies. With the pending opening of our Apache Junction dispensary, the addition of the Holistic Center, will bring the number of dispensaries managed by MPX in the greater Phoenix market to four, will more than double our cultivation capacity and will materially complement our management team in the State. Adding to our critical mass of operations, this acquisition will add to MPX’s ability to benefit from purchasing economies, spread the administrative overhead costs over a larger revenue base and provide cash flows to support additional growth.”
Beth Stavola, COO and President of MPX’s U.S. operations, adds “With our fourth dispensary opening soon in the Apache Junction suburb and our expanded concentrate production facilities coming on-stream this month, we expect to see our Arizona revenues continue to expand over the next several fiscal quarters. The Arizona program is well-regulated by AZDHS, the patient count continues to grow, the supply and cost of flower and trim for re-sale and concentrate production is excellent and, while the Phoenix area market is increasingly competitive, retail prices and margins remain attractive. This is a great state for MPX to conduct business in.”
TORONTO, April 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MPX Bioceutical Corporation (“MPX” or the “Company”) (CSE:MPX) (OTC:MPXEF) is pleased to announce that the official opening of the its newest “Health for Life” medical marijuana dispensary in the Metropolitan Phoenix area, located at the junction of E. Main and Crimson in the suburb of Apache Junction. This brings the number of dispensaries under MPX management in Arizona’s Sun Valley to four. The Crimson dispensary will meet the needs of patients in this comparatively underserviced southeast quadrant of the region by making available the full spectrum of MPX concentrates, an extensive variety of cannabis flower, and a broad selection of 3rd party, processed cannabis-infused edibles. The Company also announces that it has relocated the processing and production of MPX concentrates to a new location in North Mesa. Phase one of the build-out at this facility, now in operation, will immediately double the current production capacity of MPX-branded products in Arizona to approximately 150,000 grams annually. The second phase scheduled for completion early in calendar Q3 will increase potential production to over 400,000 grams per year and the final phase expected in calendar Q4 will result in annualized capacity increasing to a total in excess of 800,000 grams annually with a wholesale value (at current prices) of approximately US$18 million.
In Nevada, our production capacity has been limited by the availability of raw material, of biomass. And most of our product produced there has been sold 2-3 weeks in advance.

The company, which is building a facility to grow and process marijuana for medicine, sold 51 percent of its real estate and management companies to The Canadian Bioceutical Corp., for $5.1 million. The agreement was announced Tuesday. The company is in the process of building a 50,000-square-foot facility on Innovation Way, next door to Amazon and Mass Biologics, the medical research and testing facility run by the University of Massachusetts.
TORONTO, Ontario, June 15, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Canadian Bioceutical Corporation (the “Company” or “BCC”) (CSE:BCC) (OTC:CBICF) today announced that further to its press release of April 4, 2017, the Company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary CGX Life Sciences, Inc. (CGX), has completed the acquisition of a 51% interest in IMT, LLC and Fall River Developments, LLC (“FRD”), Massachusetts registered companies active in the cannabis space.
The marijuana industry has become a popular spot for Fall River. According to MPX Bioceutical Corp, construction of a 40,000 square foot marijuana cultivation/processing facility on Innovation Way in Fall River, Massachusetts is targeted to be complete in the summer of this year with cultivation beginning in the third quarter of 2018. Cannatech Medicinals, who is owned by MPX Bioceutical Corp, has been working on the facility next to Amazon. They have also commenced construction on the first of three dispensaries in Massachusetts, including one at 160 Hartwell Street in Fall River near the Applebee’s restaurant. The Hartwell Street location will get their supply from the Innovation Way facility.
CannaTech Medicinals; Hope, Heal, Health; and Northeast Alternatives will all be in the running for licenses to grow and sell marijuana for the recreational market. Recreational sales are scheduled to start July 1. CannaTech Medicinals is building a 50,000-square-foot growing facility and processing laboratory in the biopark on Innovation Way. It is also building a dispensary off Hartwell Street.

1 dispensary in the White Marsh suburb in Baltimore, Maryland (through LMS Wellness, Benefit LLC) (December 12, 2017) - No specific address found
I'm guessing that they will be selling MPX concentrates through these dispensaries as they have done in Arizona and Nevada once their production facility is operational. I'll wait for the press release and theMelting Point Extracts site to update before factoring that into their footprint.
MPX Bioceutical Corporation (the “Company” or “MPX”) (CSE:MPX) (OTC:MPXEF) today announced that the Company, through its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, S8 Management, LLC (“S8 Management”), is entering into a management agreement (the “Management Agreement”) with LMS Wellness, Benefit LLC (“LMS”) which will result in MPX building and managing a full service medical cannabis dispensary in the White Marsh suburb of Baltimore, Maryland.
Photo caption: A medical marijuana company has signed a lease for the space at 4909 Fairmont Ave., next to the mural. A medical marijuana dispensary is coming to a long-dormant space on Fairmont Avenue in downtown Bethesda. Rich Greenberg, of Greenhill Capital, which owns the building, said Budding Rose LLC signed the lease for the roughly 1,900-square-foot space about six months ago. He said work is ongoing to fit out the interior to meet the dispensary’s needs, and he wasn’t sure when the shop would be ready to open.
The management agreements with Budding Rose and Rosebud will result in MPX subsidiaries now operating three medical cannabis enterprises in the State of Maryland. The first management agreement with LMS Wellness, Benefit LLC was announced on December 12, 2017. Rosebud is one of only 14 licenses issued to process cannabis derivatives in the State of Maryland. The facility is completely built-out and when fully operational will be capable of producing 825,000 grams of MPX-branded cannabis concentrates per annum. Budding Rose will operate a dispensary in a high-traffic area of downtown Bethesda, Maryland, in close proximity to the Walter Reed Military Medical Center and National Institutes of Health. Bethesda, Maryland is located within the Capital Beltway and is one of the wealthiest communities in the Capital Region. The dispensary is currently under construction and is expected to be operational in late February of this year.
GreenMart will operate a dispensary, under the “Health for Life” brand, in a high-traffic area of Baltimore, Maryland, situated off of North Point Road in the community of Colgate. The location is conveniently located near Interstate Routes 695, 95 and US Route 40 and a 15-minute drive from Baltimore’s Inner Harbour, Canton Waterfront, Federal Hill, and Fells Point. Within 2 miles of the location sits Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, a teaching hospital within the world renowned John Hopkins Health System. GreenMart has been welcomed and supported by the community leaders of Colgate. The dispensary is currently under construction and is expected to be operational in April 2018 of this year.
North Lake Tahoe casinos that offer at least 3x4x5 odds?
We’re vacationing in North Lake Tahoe (in Tahoe Vista) in a few weeks and I was wondering if there are any casinos in the area (by the Stateline on the north side) that offer at least 3x4x5x odds on craps. Looks like the Hyatt Regency and Crystal Bay only offer double odds. I can’t find much info about the craps game at Tahoe Biltmore. Do I need to go out to Reno or South Lake Tahoe to find anything better than double odds?
[REQ] ($500-$1,000) - (#LakeTahoe, CA, USA) - ($60+/mo + interest starting 6/7/19) (Venmo) Please read the whole post before judging me.
I know this is a long shot. I posted in assistance as well with a different form of repayment (see lower part of post). I need between $500-$1000 (for partial) or full rent (due no later than the 3rd), plus the means to get back on track financially. I can afford $60/month until paid off, but will DEFINITELY PAY MORE when I make more - ideally a lump sum. Just need to stick within my means right now, to an amount I'm 100% able to commit to. You choose a fair amount for interest. Edit: I'm sorry this got so long! I felt like it's important to explain all contibuting factors of why I'm in this situation and what I have to offer. Lord knows it's not because I don't try - I'm trying myself to death! Let me preface this by saying that where I live is too expensive for me, probably too expensive for most middle class people. But after 11 years living here, I cannot simply move because of shared custody with my 10 year old daughter. Trust me, I've tried. It will lead straight to a messy court battle that I'd prefer to avoid, especially for her sake. My daughter's dad and I have maintained an amicable custody agreement since she was 2 years old without going to court. Most importantly, she was born and raised here, therefore her school and friends are here. Because she has to go back and forth between our homes, we want to keep everything else as stable as possible. I grew up going back and forth, and when my mom put me in a new school at my daughter's same age, I hated it. I wasn't happy at home or school anymore. Pre-teen years are difficult enough. We live in North Lake Tahoe. Although it's an expensive place to live, I do find solace raising a child within our small, actively-based community. Her dad and I both have considered moving to Reno (40 mins away), but within the past couple years, Reno has exploded and rent there is now comparable to Tahoe. I know enough people who have made the move and aren't doing much better, especially if they're paying (~$5/gal) for gas to commute up and down the hill each day. So here I am, paying $1000/month for a studio, which is about the going rate. I have tried the roommate thing a few times. I held the lease at my last place for 3 years while renting out the second bedroom. We each paid $850 plus utilities. Renting a room here is easily between $700-$1000. Because I have a child, sharing a home isn't ideal for most people, plus it's not much less than having our own place. Even if it is a only a studio, my daughter and I love it here. And that's what I mean about raising her here - she can't care less about material things. We spend most of our free time outside anyway. I work FT at a pretty good job, plus PT at another. During the winter, I was working 2 FT jobs, plus the one PT. Working multiple jobs here is common (and necessary) for many locals. Since my second FT job is only seasonal, I've been digging myself into a hole financially. Mentally and physically. Working 3 jobs killed me and I don't know if I can bear doing it again. Of course it also took a toll on my daughter. Because I'm constantly stressed out about money, my existing depression and anxiety only intensifies everything. My daughter shouldn't think this is normal. Genetics aside, I don't want her growing up thinking this is what happens when you're stressed out, or that life is this scary. She's been the one to help me through anxiety attacks, sometimes being with me at the ER because of a prolonged one. So rent is due today and I'm thankful she's with her dad this weekend. I have $70 in my bank account until next Friday. My pay schedule is never in sync with my daughter's schedule with me, so she's used to me having no extra money. Which really, I never have extra money. I've had to keep asking my work for advances, which means there's a cut in my paycheck. Last month I couldn't pay rent until the 10th and my landlord was not happy. Because my lease is month to month, she can basically end it at any time with only 30 days notice. This makes me extremely worried because finding affordable housing here is near impossible. I've looked into emergency rental assistance, and our county currently has nothing to help. To make matter worse, my daughter's dad quit paying child support last month. We are going to court for this in a couple weeks. This is the one thing that causes tension between us, but having child support helps me out significantly. Lately, I've been busting my ass looking for side work, which has helped, but not nearly enough yet. Because I work in property management, I've been looking for vacation home owners who I can personally help manage their AirBnBs. Tahoe is overloaded with vacation homes and I've been in this business for over ten years. This can be something to offer a kind Redditor in exchange for them helping me pay rent. I'm also a caretaker on Rover. If you're ever on vacation in Tahoe, I'd love to help with your doggos. Many vacation rentals and hotels don't allow pets. Childcare too. I love kiddos and have worked as a nanny and on-call sitter many times. Overnight as well. Some parents want to ski or mountain bike without their kids, or have a night out. I'll make sure your kids are safe and have fun. Mini golfing, movie theater, rollerskating, bowling, swimming at the rec center, or visiting animals at the shelter is my daughter's favorite. Lastly, if you ever want to come to Tahoe, I'd happily give up my studio for you to stay in. I mean, like a week or 2 max is fair. It's super cute and only 2 blocks from the lake. Plus it's pet friendly! The little town I live in has nice sandy beaches and everything you need is within walking distance, including the casinos. So, if there's a generous Redditor reading, who understands my situation, please reach out so we can discuss this further. I don't expect anyone to help me, but if it happens I would probably drop dead out of joy and gratefulness (haha but I'll still have to pay rent). Either way if you made it this far, I really appreciate you taking the time to read. If anything, please send prayers and positive vibes my way to help me overcome these obstacles both financially and mentally. Any kind of support means the world to me.
Date: July 15, 2019 Days Left: 15 Days Left About a month ago a good friend of mine was visiting me in Santa Monica. We talked about doing a trip to Lake Tahoe where we can go party but most importantly relax. Even though I am from northern California originally I was never lucky enough to spend much time in Lake Tahoe. I have been up there a couple of times but never in the summer. Here is how my trip went: July 11 I started it off by flying out to San Francisco on Thursday. Drove out to LAX with my car since I did some calculations and figured I would save about 10 dollars if I drove myself and left my car overnight instead of taking an Uber. That decision bit me in my ass later on. I got to LAX and their long term parking was closed so with the time I had left I had to choose the closest long term parking which was pretty much double of what I was originally going to spend. Anyways, I got to the airport and with the 15 extra minutes I had, I decided to check out the lounge with the Priority Pass that came with the Chase credit card that I applied for. Free alcohol and free food. You already know I enjoyed my time up there. So I landed in SFO and my little bro Eazy picked me up. It’s always a good time when we link up. We went back to his house for a minute and my other best friend from my hometown up north came to kick it with us for a little bit as well. We smoked, ate pizza, laughed and listen to music for the entire time. Shared with everyone what my plans are with the next few months. Eazy offered me a room in his home if I decide that I want to move to SF after the trip. Which moving to SF is definitely part of my plan so that really warmed my heart when he offered me that. Eazy is also working on a project of his own with music and branding. Excited to see what the future holds for us. Afterward, all that I was taken into the city and dropped off at my other friend’s house in Twin Peaks since I was heading out to Lake Tahoe the following morning. July 12 The next day we headed up to Lake Tahoe for the weekend. Before this, I had to go pick up my friend from his work in his car so we can just leave straight to Tahoe from there. I got to his work and he invited me in for lunch. Wow, my eyes open up when I walked and saw the different life of work? This was much better than what I had experienced. On top of getting free socks, I was greeted by everyone I walked by and the most amazing part was that there was free food. It was pretty damn good, I am not going to lie. We picked up a couple of his other coworkers and headed up to the lake. We got there pretty early so we poured ourselves some drinks and headed to the beach. Played some cornhole and had some beers. Headed back to the house where the rest of the crew finally arrived. Again we started drinking, aggressively this time. Together we all headed out to the casino. I played one hand of $25 on blackjack. Scored a 19 but just like every other time, the Dealer scored blackjack. I took the rest of my money and got out. We ended up all going to the club that was in the casino. I was pretty drunk at this point. I was on a budget so I didn’t want to buy any more drinks. But friends kept on buying me drinks on drinks even though I wasn’t asking for it. I nearly blacked out. It was all a blur. However, I do remember Baby Bash (the dude who sang Suga, Suga, and Cyclone) performing up there and running into Jerry Rice at a table. It was insane. We ended up leaving later on and headed back to the cabin. 4 of us, hammered, got in the hot tub to relax. A taxi pulled up and we thought it was one of the guys. We called him over and chatted it up with him. Asked him how his night went. After 15 minutes of talking to this guy, we realized this was just a random guy. He was apparently blacked out and had no idea where he was. We directed him in the direction to go and he was on his way. It was too funny. July 13 This day was by the far the best day of the trip. Just unbelievable. We started off all hungover cracking up from the night before. Grilled in the morning and then began our adventure. I had planned prior to this to take shrooms in Tahoe to really get lost in the beauty of the nature around me. Everyone else was down to trip as well. We all took a little less than normal but were still able to feel it. We then headed to Zephyr Cove. It was a party over there. So many people were walking around. The only thing that we brought to the beach were speakers, water and a blunt. But that was all we really needed. We got on to the beach and the first thing we started looking for was shade. We were waiting for others to get up so we can take over their location. Slowly but surely we made our way to the perfect spot. We sat there for a good while just listening to music, drinking booze and enjoying everything around us. A few of us decided to go Jet Skiing while a few of us decided to go paddle boarding and kayaking. I decided to get myself a paddleboard and just relax. It was such an amazing experience. We had paddled out into the water and the moment I started looking around I was seeing images that I have never seen in my life before. I mean I’ve seen mountains, lakes, and trees. Don’t think I am crazy. But I never have seen it like this. The water was so blue it looked like the actual color of blue. Not a shade of blue but the actual color of blue. Trees were vibrating with the green. The mountains in the distance were topped off with a cool white snow cap. I felt so small in such a big world. The shrooms started kicking in for a bit and I just felt euphoric for a moment. Nothing else mattered at that time, besides the fact that I was invited into one of the greatest pools of water I have ever seen. After a moment we headed back. A very good friend of mine told me of the place she knew that would be perfect to experience while tripping on shrooms. She couldn’t take all of us plus the place was too peaceful to invite a bunch of drunk guys. But I trust her judgment and decided a couple of us would go experience this. We headed out there. Grabbed her dog. And drove to the other side of Lake Tahoe. After a while of driving, we have arrived. I was blown away. It looked like something out of a movie. Colors were just unbelievable. The scenery was so calm and meditative. The location was called Mount Rose on the Northside of Lake Tahoe. It was a meadow with a creek. The snow was still around in the middle of July. We were catching the sunset out there. The colors that I saw were colors that I have never seen before naturally. We also added our own music to it which made it feel like we experienced something out of Coachella. It was a moment of pure peace. We headed back to the house. The girls decided to head back to their home and the rest of the guys just kept on drinking. I couldn’t go out and do another day of partying so I decided to just stay in with a couple of the other guys. Hang out and just smoke and relax. July 14 I woke up and felt so relaxed. Negativity was just flushed out of my system at this point. We had to head back home at this point. I got dropped off at the airport and while I was on my seat in the plane we had been delayed an extra hour. There was a man next to me who sparked up a conversation. I usually don’t like to talk on trains and planes. I like to be as productive as I can by either reading, writing, resting or anything besides talking. I guess that is something I need to work on because who knows what doors can open. Anyways, we got to talking. His name was Erwin. He was an orthopedic Surgeon and a professor at UCLA. We got to talking about random stuff. But then we got onto the topic of what I do for a living. I shared with him that I had quit my job 2 weeks ago and that I was going to travel across the world. He asked if I had another job lined up and I told him no. He was shocked. He persistently tried to persuade me to cancel my plans to go back to school and got some sort of degree on top of the bachelor’s that I had. He shared with me that it would be a great idea to go to Law School and that I can always go travel. I told him I just can’t do that. At the end of the day, I don’t want to go on a normal route. Instead, I will create my own path and follow that. I will get to my destination my way and I will enjoy every moment of it. Instead of just enjoying some of it. Well, that was my weekend. And it was exactly what I wanted.
When it comes to nightlife in North Lake Tahoe, there are options, though this isn’t the strong point to this side of the lake.
